HullShaker’s Tips – It’s all going to be Magni-ficent

FUNNY thing this weather on these islands of ours – I left Costa Del Hull around 1800 Friday in scorching sunshine only to arrive 40 miles up the coast at beautiful Filey surrounded by grey clouds and a piss-cold North Sea fret. Still, it's good to get a wee break even if it means sharing a tin prefab with two kids cranked up on e-numbers and Mrs Hull giving me the face of death for apparently “driving like a dick” on the way up. Aside from catching crabs on the beach tomorrow, my other main pursuit lies around two and a half thousand miles Northwest of the glorious East Yorkshire Coast… MAGNI VS. VÍKINGUR ÓLAFSVÍK (1500KO): I'll not trot the stats out but, despite the away sides short prices, it's certainly a game that may well finish with both sides on the scoresheet. Vikingur have the upper hand for sure but it's not too clean cut and given Magni have struck at least once in 100% of their last 9 matches in all competitions, I would have anticipated a ‘btts' ...

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Guays and girls worth a punt

ARGENTINA found a bit of form to beat Venezuela and set up a Copa America semi-final cracker against hosts Brazil. My double was on btts at France v USA women and Venezuela +2 and they looked good for an equaliser before being hit by a late sucker punch as they exited 2-0. The final Copa America quarter-final is Uruguay v Peru and I've posted a separate preview as well as thoughts on other games I've posted tips for. Check it out here . We have the final two quarter-finals in the women's World Cup with Germany meeting Sweden and Italy trying to shock Holland and later the Euro Under-21 Final between Spain and Germany should be a belter. Well done to all the winners last night including Scott with another members bet and he's on a brilliant run. Remember to check out welovebetting for their tips and video chat. 1pt Top Treble (all 8pm) Germany Women (5.30pm) Italy Women +1 (2pm) Uruguay (8pm) (17-4, bet365 ) 1pt Both to Score Double Spain U21s v German...

Mr Fixit’s Saturday Preview: Uruguay are the guys

URUGUAY have blown hot and cold at Copa America but should book a semi-final slot on Saturday night. They topped Group C despite drawing 2-2 with a young Japanese side who are preparing for the Olympics. That came after victory against Ecuador and finally a goal from Edinson Cavani handed them victory over holders Chile and first place. Only Peru stand between them and the last four in Brazil and Cavani and Luis Suarez could tear apart a side embarrassed by Brazil in the group stages. Peru were smashed 5-0 as Brazil coasted and only the presence of a weak Bolivia side meant they progressed as one of the best third-placed sides. It's the end of the road now and I'm confident about Uruguay at reasonable price of 7-10 at BetVictor . In fact if you look at the way they capitulated against Brazil you have to be tempted by Uruguay -1 at 21-10 with Paddy Power . Looking at first scorers and punters will always focus on Suarez and Cavani – but which one should we go for. I'...

Blackshear Transfers to Florida; Gators Now Have +2600 Odds to Win National Championship

Grad transfer Kerry Blackshear Jr left Virginia Tech on Friday for the Florida Gators Last season, Blackshear averaged 14.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 50.8 percent overall and 33.3 percent from 3-point range The Gators are now viewed as serious threats to win March Madness The decision by Kerry Blackshear Jr to transfer from the Virginia Tech Hokies to the Florida Gators is reminiscent of the saying that wrestling legend Ric Flair made famous – albeit with a bit of a different spin: If you want to be the best, you’ve got to beat the best, Flair is prone to point out. This time, it’s more a case of Florida wanting to beat the best, so the Gators went out and got the best guy available. Blackshear was viewed as the top catch among the grad transfer class. As soon as he announced Florida as his destination, the leading college basketball experts were quick to jump on Florida’s NCAA Championship odds . 2020 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Odds Te...
