NRL Round 15 Betting Review

PUNTER’S PAL It was a tough weekend for punters with only four of the eight favourites winning and the losers proving very costly. The end result saw punters getting the better of bookies in just two matches – both on Friday night. The Dragons were well backed to beat the Cowboys at home in the early match before a big move for Melbourne came off in a game which was pick-em just 24 hours earlier. The Storm yet again proving the most reliable bet in season 2019.   BOOKIE’S BEST There are numerous options for bookie’s best this round but diving deeper to pick the two standouts, it was opening game of the weekend where the Tigers got the better of the Bunnies against the odds before the Bulldogs bookended things with a shock victory over Cronulla. After a tough few weeks, bookmakers were certainly smiling by the end of round 15.   FIRST TRY FRUSTRATION First Try scorers also went the way of the bookmakers in round 15 with punters only coming out in front in two games. Melbour

Legendary Lands – $100 into $405190

The Suns are certainly shining on one Ladbrokes punter after their result on Saturday secured one of the best Legendary Lands we have ever seen. It was a 12-leg, $100 outlay that netted a return of over $405,000 that played out in phenomenal fashion over the last five months all coming down to the Swans-Suns clash at the SCG, but we’ll get to that soon. While the multi was predominantly Aussie Rules focues, it started with our punter backing the Over 2.5 Goals in the Rennes v Arsenal one leg of the Europa League quarter finals which came through comfortably. Up next our punter backed the Crows to win the AFLW Premiership which they did in comfortable fashion, blasting Carlton off the park in the final by 45 points. Then came the AFL legs where this punter took full advantage of our AFL season pricing, by backing 10 matches between Rounds 1 and 15, including three times where the Suns were backed at the line, or to not be as bad as most expected them to be. In Round 1 they started

AFL Round 15 Betting Review

PUNTER’S PAL It was an unthinkable proposition not too long ago but betting against the Hawks at the MCG now seems a smart betting play and there were plenty of smart punters at the weekend. In a tough round for punters with only five of nine favourites winning, the Eagles appeared the surest bet to many and the reigning premiers didn’t let them down.   BOOKIE’S BEST It looked a simple start to round 15 but, as the famous saying goes, “the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” And that was certainly the case at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night. The Giants were backed as if near on unbeatable against the inconsistent Bombers but, as we approach the home stretch, the kids from Sydney’s west showed they still can’t be entirely trusted when on an excursion to Melbourne.     FIRST GOAL FRUSTRATION It was a frustrating round for first goal bettors which started with Dylan Shiel nabbing the opening against the Giants at $34 and continued the next night when Paul Seedsman b

5 Lessons Learned – NRL Round 15

It might be lost in the shuffle of Origin coming up, but there’s only nine weeks remaining in the 2019 NRL regular season for some teams, only eight games. The ladder is very congested and perhaps only the Storm would be feeling secure about being able to ride a form slump and still play in September. What we saw on the weekend though is that every team can be beaten and there’s no clear favourite from start to finish. Sunday was undoubtedly the highlight though with the Panthers and Bulldogs pulling off upset wins. We have our regular five takeaways for your Monday morning reading as we go through the numbers from the weekend that was in the NRL. 1 – Defence Dominates the Weekend If we were going to go for a silly pun to sum up the weekend, we could say it was “underwhelming” but firstly, we’re better than that and secondly, we might have already used it. All eight games went under the total points line on the weekend which is the first clean sweep for any of the numbers we tr

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Go forth and prosper in July

JUNE was a tough month for betting but I managed to get out of it with no damage done. For people whose punting revolves mainly around UK games and a little bit on the top European leagues it wasn't easy to focus on such events as the Women's World Cup, Copa America and the European Under-21s Championship. The Super Singles and advised accas finished 0.1pts down with a 0-0 at AIK yesterday beating my both to score double. I'll be taking it easy in July until the Scottish clubs kick off their Euro qualifying campaigns next week although I might have an odd bet from the later stages of Copa America or the Africa Cup of Nations but games there have been tough to call. There were some great winners last night including Greg, HullShaker and Scott with his members. And that's to mention tips commented from the likes of aaron, hunter and bullseye. Well done everyone and all contributions are appreciated. It's the start of Wimbledon today and Sean Calvert's day

Wimbledon Tennis Tips: Power of Popyrin can triumph

THE first 32 matches in the 2019 men’s singles at Wimbledon get under way on Monday and Unibet tennis tipster Sean Calvert is back to find the value bets on day one. Looking at the recent history of this event, it’s not one to go gung-ho on underdogs at, with, like the rest of the majors really, a small percentage of them winning every year. In Wimbledon’s case there have been only 24% of underdog winners on average in the last six years and in round one that figure dips to 21%. As far as tie breaks are concerned, the longer format leads to more tie breaks and 56% of the matches here have featured at least one in the last six years, with round one seeing 44% of matches in the last six years featuring a tie break (rounds 2 and 4 are as high as 63%). Last year qualifiers and lucky losers went 8-15 win/loss in round one and weather-wise we’re expecting a cloudy day, with no rain expected, but a fair strength wind at 20kph. Pablo Carreno Busta vs Alexei Popyrin PCB tried his best on

Daily Racing Tips – Monday 1st July

Muswellbrook - Race 1 11:45pm AEST No. 11 Emperor’s Star Emperor’s Star produced a promising effort debut over 900 metres at Muswellbrook and she finds herself in a fairly weak contest at the same venue this afternoon. She has drawn wide, but she does have the early speed to take up a forward position with Grand Buckley in the saddle. She is well-placed to claim a maiden race win. Bet Now: Muswellbrook Race 1 Muswellbrook - Race 9 4:35pm AEST No. 7 Star Alibi Star Alibi missed the start on debut, but was able to work her way back into the race and she showed a very impressive turn-of-foot in the concluding stages to score a classy win. She clearly has plenty of upside and I like the fact that she has been kept at the same track and distance. Bet Now: Muswellbrook Race 9 Tatura - Race 5 2:20pm AEST No. 1 Abundance It has been a while between race starts for Abundance, but he did show some talent during his maiden racing campaign and this is far from the strongest r

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Nothing doing in the big tournaments

THAT was a tough day with not much going right and a real shortage of goals. All three Africa Cup of Nations games finished 0-0 as did Colombia v Chile and Uruguay v Peru over 120 minutes before Chile and Peru won on penalties to set up a semi-final clash. The other game is Brazil v Argentina. At the Women's World Cup Germany were shocked by Sweden while Holland turned up in the second half to take care of Italy. My Edinson Cavani to score Super Single was a loser as were my two trebles and at the end of June I'll be about evens which is acceptable after the games I've had to cover. Sunday's only bet is a both to score double that I posted on Friday night. Well done to all the winners on Saturday – and not even Scott could continues his run of successes. Remember to check out welovebetting for their tips and video chat. 1pt Both to Score Double Spain U21s v Germany U21s (7.45pm) AIK v Malmo (2pm, Sun) (5-2, bet365 ) Mr Fixit's June Super Singles Tot

Norwegian 5pm Matches: Goals treble won’t be far away

It's been a quiet week from me and my first post since Tuesday  but it's been great to re-charge the batteries just in preparation for a busy day of action in the Norwegian Eliteserien and Division One. I've stayed clear of the woman's world cup and thankfully the Copa America which has been a real disappointment for punters. We'll soon be approaching Europa League Qualifiers and club friendlies but thankfully we have the Norwegian leagues to keep us sane on a Sunday. I've had a good look through the 13 matches ( 6 Eliteserien and 7 Division One ) and there are plenty of games I like the look of for goals, the bookies are wise to that though and have set prices low. A few of the teams I like to back are away from home so going for a over 2.5 goals treble and two goals specials. I'll post reasoning up in the morning Mjondalenvs Viking (5pm) Ullensaker/Kisa vs KFUM (5pm) Tromsdalen vs IK Start (5pm) Over 2.5 goals treble 3/1 ( Bet365 ) There's the

NHL Free Agency Odds: See the Favorites to Sign Bobrovsky, Duchene, Panarin, Pavelski & More

NHL free agency opens on Monday, July 1st Sergei Bobrovsky, Artemi Panarin, Matt Duchene, and Joe Pavelski are the biggest names available See which teams are favored to land each player The NHL’s free agency period opens on Monday, July 1st, and the crop of UFA’s is one of the most salivating in recent years. Hitting the open market at midnight are three members of the Columbus Blue Jacket team that just shocked the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round of the playoffs: two-time Vezina-winning goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, Russian sniper Artemi Panarin, who has 151 points in 162 career games, and seven-time 20-goal scorer Matt Duchene They are joined by Anders Lee of the Islanders, Sharks captain Joe Pavelski, and Nashville deadline acquisition Wayne Simmons to form something of a “big six” in the 2019 FA market. The number-crunchers at Bovada have set odds on where each of the six will be come game one of the 2019-20 season. The table below shows the top-three favorites

Based on Betting Odds, Here’s Where the Top 2019 NBA Free Agents Will Sign

NBA free agency kicks off on Sunday, June 1st at 6:00 p.m. ET Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving are among the biggest names available See which teams are favored to land each marquee player and which sportsbooks have the best odds The rich are about to get a whole lot richer. The NBA’s annual free agent frenzy officially begins at 6:00 pm ET on Sunday, June 30th and teams are preparing to go through money faster than a sailor on shore leave. The league’s general managers collectively spent more than $1.5 billion within the first 24 hours of free agency in 2018 and that number should be even higher this year as perennial All-Stars like Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, and Kemba Walker are all in line for hefty raises. Even scrubs like Thomas Bryant and JaMychal Green could become wealthy beyond their wildest dreams as top heavy teams like the Lakers and Rockets desperately try to fill out their precariously thin rosters. Grafton - Race 6 2:20pm AEST No. 2 Arrogante Arrogante showed plenty of ability during his maiden racing campaign and he recorded his maiden race win in absolutely dominant fashion at Port Macquarie.
