Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Easy for England but Czech out the Kosovans

IT was a no-bet Wednesday for me but well done to everyone who profited with plenty of goals in the EFL Trophy. I've been concentrating on Thursday and Friday's Euro qualifiers and have posted a preview of Thursday's matches where my tips are reasoned. England need a point at home to qualify from Group A and should get all three against a Montenegro side they thumped 5-1 away. Czech Rep, the only blip on Gareth Southgate's run to the finals, are home to Kosovo as they two nations fight for second spot. Should be plenty of goals here and I loved the way the Kosovans played at Wembley in a 5-3 defeat. They need a result in Prague and as well as backing goals I'm on Kosovo draw no bet as a Super Single. Don't forget to check the match previews and welovebetting for their tips and video chat. 1pt Super Single Kosovo draw no bet (3-1, Betfred ) 1pt Top Treble England -2 Czech Rep v Kosovo over 2.5 goals Turkey (5pm) (9-2, sportingbet ) Mr Fixit...

English National League North: King’s Lynn the goal rulers

IT'S the poorest Tuesday night card since the last international break but what it does do, it makes things a little easier for punters as they have a far fewer games to look it and me personally, I quite enjoy the smaller cards. I don’t get an opportunity to look at the lower leagues in England as much as I’d like to but this looks like the stand out match on Tuesday for goals. ⚽️ King’s Lynn Town vs Leamington (KO 7.45pm) High flying King’s Lynn have adapted  to the National league North like a fish to water since their promotion last season. Nobody has seen more goals scored in their games than they have this season ( avg 3.8 goals in their matches) 14 of their 16 league games have gone away over 2.5 goals with 10 of those games seeing over 3.5 which is great going. They may be the leagues joint highest scorers but they are defensively frail. Despite their lofty position of second, the have the 7th worst defensive record in league with a staggering 26 goals conceded. To b...

HullShaker’s Tips – Ricay welcome Wealdstone’s Raiders

IT'S a tight card as Mr Fixit says but whilst the weather may be grim up North, I'm looking towards the beautiful South for a bit of a ding dong on the Essex riviera… BILLERICAY TOWN VS. WEALDSTONE I know we've got a couple of Wealdstone fans on the site but I'm not sure if we are in the presence of this terrace legend: Not only do Wealdstone posess fans of this extraordinary calibre, the players themselves are flying high and sit in pole position; 37 points from 15 games sees them 7 clear of their nearest rivals Weymouth with a game in hand to add into the mix! A visit to Billericay's AGB area is no easy trip though and the hosts themselves are steady away with their usual home advantage scooping the majority of points – they have 2-3 games inhand on most of their divisional rivals and maximum points would see them bang in the middle of the play-off places where they ought to be. Well worth noting that whilst ‘Ricay are unbeaten in 4 on home soil and have sco...

Belgium Reserve League: Young guns know where the goal is

MONDAY's mean Belgium Reserve league action and its a league I've been  betting on for years on goals escpailly as its probably one of the highest scoring leagues in Europe. There are 8 matches this evening and I've picked out two but there is a case to be made for goals in most of the games. Despite the number of goals this league delivers, I still feel the bookies are extremely generous with their prices, particularly first half goals. Sint Truiden Reserves vs Gent Reserves (KO 6.30pm) My old favourites Sint Truiden are in action at home against high flying Gent and it should really be a case of how many goals Gent win by. Sint Truiden are having a horrible time of it. – played 6 lost 6 ( 6-1 1-2 5-1 6-1 4-1 1-6) 29 goals conceded in 6 games. Asian goal line set at 21/20 on over 2.0 first half goals (money back if two scored) and given the volume of goals Sint Truiden are conceding, there's a good chance of there being 3 first half goals. Genk were priced up at ...

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Liverpool cut in half to lift title

LIVERPOOL are as short as 2-5 (from 4-5) with to win the Premier League for the first time after defeating Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp's men stormed nine points clear of City and eight ahead of Leicester and Chelsea. They are just 9-1 to go the whole season unbeaten after suffering one defeat in 51. City are out to 11-5 to retain their title while Chelsea and Leicester are both 33-1 to crash the party. Leicester are 4-7 (from 10-11) to finish in the top four of the Premier League after victory over Arsenal on Saturday night. And Gunners boss Unai Emery is 1-3 to leave the Emirates before the end of the season and 2-1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post, while the Gunners are out to 4-1 to finish in the top four. Well done to everyone who won on the Liverpool including maccathered who was supremely confident about the result. I posted two trebles with a 14-5 winner thanks to Oxford -1, Celtic -1 and Marseille +1 and both to score treble that was a loser. ...

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Newky brown and flying Foxes

I HAD a good day out at Newcastle and some winning bets helped pay for the trip. Watched Leicester bring up my Super Single while sipping newky brown in one of the station bars – and that was after changing my Scottish notes for less valuable English ones in a local bookies with winning trebles at 18-5 and 4-1. Also invested some of that on Jamie Vardy to score first at 7-2 so it was a good night too. Well done to all the winners and sorry for not mentioning them but just not been around. I was at St James' Park with a Bournemouth-supporting pal and while he was disappointed it was a decent game. The Cherries dominated the first half hour and should have been two or three up but goals either side of the break knocked their confidence and Newcastle packed the defence and held out fairly comfortably. If they had a centre-forward such as Alfredo Morelos they might stay up comfortably. The front three are all exciting and talented players but between them have just one goal from ...

NFL Week 10; Run CMC to extend his stay atop the charts?

Well. It's been a rough month. Got a little flack for it last week and it's fully deserved, things have not gone well. But these things happen in sports and tipping, I'll keep putting myself out there and hopefully it will turn itself around. Apparently there used to be under even priced winners, so I'll give that a go. Bet 1; Run CMC keeps atop the charts. Christian McCaffrey leads the league in TDs this year with 13 on the season, 10 on the ground and 3 through the air, he's scored in 7 of his 8 games, the only one he didn't was against the Bucs on a Thursday night where he was stopped on the one yard line at the end of the game. He's a phenom and goes up against the 27th ranked run defense so should have a good game in this one too. The other side of the ball is Aaron Jones who is second in TDs with 11, the Panthers are actually the worst defense against the run so I like him to score too. You can get both to score on Skybet at 2.20, Aaron Jones by hims...

SPFL First Scorer Tips & Contest

THE only online bookie that lists SPFL and first-scorer prices for every game are McBookie. McBookie's Damian Walker is back with his first-scorer tips and he's also challenging punters to pick their own. Every week one person with a correct prediction will be chosen at random to win a £ 10 bet – and if you backed your tip with McBookie with at least a fiver they'll double the prize to £20. You can comment with your pick here and give any reasoning but to enter the contest you have to email mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk. Quote player's club and first-scorer price with McBookie – Scottish games only – for a chance to win. There were no winners last week. Here is Damian with this weekend's selections. He says: “Last weekend I suggested Hearts would really struggle against Rangers in the League Cup semi-final and boy did they struggle. “It was a miserable performance from the Jambos under stand-in boss Austin MacPhee and they barely got out of their half and hardy...

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Scots giants make it a thriller

IT was a glory night for the Old Firm as they took giant strides in the Europa League with fine. Celtic went to Lazio as 9-2 shots but returned after making club history as the first team to win in Italy. The result meant Neil Lennon's side qualified for the group stages with two games to go and that's some feat. Rangers followed up with a fine 2-0 defeat of Porto with Alfredo Morelos again scoring first with a cracker. I tipped him and Ciro Immobile but the Super Single was Rangers draw no bet that won at evens. It was Celtic who beat my Top Treble – I tipped them to score but never expected a victory and while they played well it was two pretty bas defensive mistakes that handed them the goals. Man United and Wolves also won so a nice full house for the Brits in Europe. Well done to all the winners on Thursday and there were some crackers. Scott came up trumps with his members bet and SlipsTips had a full house of winners on his Lazio v Celtic preview. As usual my focu...

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Bruges fail to hit the right spot

IT wasn't the worst night in the Champions League but Man City and Atletico Madrid would have beaten a few lines and Bruges missing a penalty beat the over 1.5 match goals eightfold. For me it wasn't a great card and my only bet was a goals treble that went down on the early games. Well done to everyone who put up a winner and spare a thought for mr h who has some issues and is taking a break from the site. Thanks to everyone for their comments offering support and advice. Anyone with similar problems should seek help and we have phone numbers on the home page. The rest of the Europa League ties are on Thursday including Rangers vs Porto , Lazio vs Celtic , Man United vs Partizan and Wolves v Slovan Bratislava . I've written a preview covering the four Brits and will put up top tips in the morning and check out the match previews. Mr Fixit’s Champions League Tips: A strong Man City can expose Atalanta

THERE'S a lot to like about Atalanta but they're too leaky to worry Man City. Pep Guardiola's side thumped the Italians 5-1 at the Etihad and should follow up tonight with another victory. The one concern is how strong a team Pep Guardiola puts out ahead of Sunday's meeting with Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp went weaker than I thought he would and they just managed to beat Genk. If I'd known that line-up I wouldn't have backed Liverpool -2 so you might want to see City's XI before betting on this one. Atalanta are top scorers in Serie A with 30 but have lost all three in the Champions League with a minus nine goal difference and conceded 18 in 11 in Serie A. City love playing attack-minded opponents and have the potential to pick them off with ease having averaged three a game this season. They are just 1-2 at McBookie to win but best bet could be City and over 2.5 match goals at 8-11 with Ladbrokes . Sergio Aguero (2) and Raheem Sterling (3) shared the five...

UEFA Champions League: Goals to reign again

YET again goals was king in the UCL last night as we saw an incredible 27 goals scored in the six 8pm kick off's. Amazingly, only the Barcelona match failed to go over 1.5 goals in what was their first blank at home since (Feb 2018) 46 games ago. We have another 8 games tonight and again I'll be looking at goals in the 8pm kick offs. Real Madrid and PSG are both at home and whislt there are cases to be made that both may be lower scoring affairs than some think, based on how this seasons tournament is shaping up there is every chance we'll see a high  number of goals. Last night for the 3rd time this season every 8pm game saw a goal scored before 30 mins which paid a handsome 22/1 and I'll be on that again tonight. UCL  – Goals Total Special – 8pm matches We managed 27 goals last night and whilst I don't think we'll see anything like that tonight, the matches are more than capable if delivering 20+ especially if Real Madrid and PSG turn up, City games always...

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Chelsea stars of the Goals Show

IT was a great night for goals in the Champions League and that was right up Greg's street. He was quids in with his total goals tips and his nap was also a winner. Chelsea's 4-4 draw with Ajax bring up the goals and the game was a cracker with the nine-man Dutch even threatening to win it at the end after blowing a 4-1 lead. If you'd backed both to score in the six later kick-offs you'd have been quids in and the Goals Show certainly lived up to its name. Valencia and both to score at Lyon landed for me but Liverpool -2 beat my Top Treble. Jurgen Klopp made one too many change for a romp but the Reds just about got the job done – I did though back Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to score. My 1pt English treble lacked goals at Rochdale and Shrewsbury so a disappointing night but not a lot of damage done. Well done to all the winners and there were plenty although quite a few lost out on Barcelona's 0-0 draw with Slavia Prague. I left them out because they were too shor...

UEFA Champions League: Goals to deliver winners

THE group stages of the Champions League come thick and fast at this time of the year and we have another busy week ahead of European football as the clubs prepare for matchday 4. Almost every club still has something to ply for with some clubs in the must win category and that should ensure the games are even more open than they have been. Selectabet and I  have recorded a special UCL Gambla Betting Podcast which you can listen to, to get our thoughts, analysis and tips for  Tuesday and Wednesday's matches. We have bets from the Dortmund v Inter match,  Salzburg's trip Napoli and two goals specials. Borussia Dortmund vs Inter Milan (KO 8pm) Its make or break for these two in this winner takes all tie and having already defeated Dortmund 2-0 in the San Siro on match day three, they'll be confidant of travelling to Germany and getting a positive result. Inter have had a terrific season so far under Conte and they have certainly backed their manager with a transfer p...

Mr Fixit’s Champions League Tips: Liverpool set to unleash The Ox

YOU'VE heard about the Fox in the Box – what about the Ox in the Box? On Saturday when Liverpool were losing at Aston Villa on came Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to help turn the game around. The former Arsenal star netted two in the 4-1 win in Genk a fortnight ago and is likely to start tonight's Champions League test. It took him just two minutes to score away and he is 17-2 with Unibet to break again compared to Mo Salah and Sadio Mane – they were also both on target in Belgium. Just to score The Ox looks good value at 43-20. Liverpool are no bigger than 1-10 to win so for value look at handicaps. Genk have conceded 10 in their three group games so you'd expect Jurgen Kopp's men to score four or more. My only concern is if they have on eye on Sunday's title crunch with Man City so it might be one to leave alone until teams are revealed. To score 4+ Liverpool are just 11-10 at bet365 while over 4.5 match goals pays 5-2 at bet365 – this has landed in six out of ...

Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Liverpool and Chelsea primed for Euro boosts

IT'S the return of the Champions League and some good games to look ahead to including Liverpool v Genk and Chelsea v Ajax. I've posted a full CL preview here and will add top tips in the morning – and check out all the match previews on the site from the likes of Scott, kevenimac, SlipsTips and selectabet. Also check out the Gambla podcast featuring Greg and selectabet. Other games include Barcelona v Slavia Prague and Zenit v RB Leipzig early as well as Napoli v Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund v Inter Milan later. There are also three English League One matches and the EPL Trophy games I tend to ignore. My double yesterday was a goal short at SPAL so I might have been better taking a West Brom win. Well done to all the winner and good luck on Tuesday. Remember to check out welovebetting for their video tips and chat. Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Too easy for Old Firm finalists

I SHOULD have based all of my weekend bets around the Betfred Cup semi-finals – and I'd have won a fortune. I was utterly convinced Celtic and Rangers would win their ties easily and set up the first Old Firm final since 2011 and this one's going to be tough to call. It's bound to be fiery and Greg will love it for individual player bookings. Unfortunately Sunderland only beating Southend 1-0 beat my -1 handicap treble but Sunday's Super Single was Rangers -2 and that landed with their 3-0 defeat of Hearts. After a poor Saturday I landed two out of three winners on Sunday with the goals treble trapping at 11-5. Well done to all the winners including Greg with his Rangers v Hearts BetBuilder and Scott with his members bet on goals at Braga. On Monday we have managerless Stoke at home to WBA in the Championship, SPAL v Sampdoria in Serie A, some Portuguese games and lower-league matches. I'll decide in the morning whether to put up a double or treble or make it...

£250 Champions League Last Man Standing Competition: Matchday 4

WE'RE at the half way mark of the Group Stages in the Champions League and that means the fourth round of my Last Man Standing Competition. I'll do a round-up of everyone left in the competition ahead of the next round so good luck to everyone who remains. Remember that even if you've been unsuccessful on either of Matchday 1, 2 or 3 (but not in more than one of those) then you can re-join that game with your Second Chance card. Alas, it's too late to now join the competition if you haven't already but keep your eyes peeled for more competitions coming up. How it Works The format is simple. I’ll pick 6 fixtures each UEFA Champions League matchday and you need to pick the outcome in just one of those matches to progress to the next matchday. As always you’ll have a ‘Second Chance’ card, which means you can afford to get ONE wrong and still remain in the competition. Get it wrong on your ‘Second Chance’ and you’re out the competition. If you miss a matchday that’l...
