With the second week of the FFA Cup’s Round of 32 getting underway tonight, the Ladbrokes Blog continues its journey around the canteens of the venues hosting FFA Cup matches this Wednesday night.
Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners
The Adelaide Blue Eagles FC has the pleasure of hosting this all A-League clash on Wednesday night at their home ground Marden Sports Complex.
With the Blue Eagles getting run of the canteen hungry fans can enjoy the usual canteen staples such as hot dogs, pies, hot chips along with a sausage sizzle and the Charcoal Chicken Burgers that are sure to be a hit on the night.
Heidelberg United v Charleston City Blues – Olympic Village
Former Victorian NSL club Heidelberg and has been a regular of the Round of 32 in the FFA Cup over the past few years and the venue is famous for the meat on the spit at every home game.
Cairns FC v Armadale SC – Barlow Park
It’s set to be a carnival atmosphere at Barlow Park this Wednesday night as Cairns FC hosts Armadale SC. There’s going to be plenty of different and unique options available for football fans up north with Cairns FC going all out and organising for various food trucks at their home ground for the game including
So Hangry Food Truck – selling Japanese-style Karagee chicken.
Taco Loco Mobile Cantina – selling tacos and nachos
Apex Milk Bar pop-up stall – selling burgers, hot dogs, fries
Spoonies Fro-Yo – selling frozen yoghurt and beverages
Annie’s Cup & Away – selling coffee and beverages
Rockdale City Suns FC v Sydney FC – Ilinden Sports Centre
In the ultimate David v Goliath battle in the FFA Cup, when it comes to what’s on offer in the canteen Rockdale City Suns FC has the far more superior offerings to anything served at a Sydney FC A-League match.
Club president Dennis Loether told the Ladbrokes Blog “those who know the Ilinden Sports Centre, know that we produce the best authentic chevapi in town. For those out there who haven’t experienced the pleasure, they are Macedonian skinless sausages served on a crusty bun with onions and for those who are brave enough, chilli flakes.”
“We will also be serving, as we always do, fully imported Macedonian beer “Zlaten Dab”. It’s a great drop and they sell well! Nothing like a chevapi roll and a bottle of Dab”
Lother also further went on to add that Rockdale’s Chevapi is better than fellow NSW FFA Cup Round of 32 clubs Bonnyrigg who featured in last weeks post.
