Invictus Gaming Favored to Win 2018 League of Legends World Championship

  • Invictus Gaming has emerged as the favorite to win the 2018 League of Legends World Championship
  • Can Fanatic pull off an upset and win its first LOL World Championship since 2011?
  • Will the best-of-five Final go the distance?

Invictus Gaming has a chance to capture its first League of Legends World Championship on Saturday, November 3rd when it clashes with Fnatic at the Incheon Munhak Stadium in Incheon, South Korea.

The Chinese multi-platform squad enters the best-of-five Final as the clear cut favorite with average odds of -200. Fnatic, meanwhile, has average odds of +150.

League of Legends 2018 World Championship Odds

Fans shouldn’t be surprised to see Invictus Gaming on the verge of hoisting the Summoner’s Cup. The team began the season with average odds of +700 to win the 2018 League of Legends World Championship, and haven’t deviated much from their path of world domination since. IG has looked especially dangerous over the past month, easily defeating KT Rolster in the Quarterfinals and knocking off G2 Esports in the Semifinals.

Invictus Gaming -200
Fnatic +135

Fnatic, on the other hand, were never expected to make it this far. Oddsmakers thought so little of the European team heading into the 2018 season that they saddled them with distant +3500 odds to win the 2018 League of Legends World Championship.

However, Fnatic changed some minds – and won legions of new fans – thanks to convincing wins over Edward Gaming in the Quarterfinals and Cloud9 in the Semifinals. They’re now just one step away from winning their first LOL title since 2011.

Invictus Gaming and Fnatic actually faced off earlier this month in the Group Stage. Fnatic won twice in a row to earn the top spot in Group D.

The 2018 League of Legends Championship Final gets underway at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3rd. The event will be streamed online for viewers around the world.
