Daily Racing Tips – Friday 1st February

The Valley - Race 2 7.00pm AEDT

No. 8 Sequitur

Sequitur made her racing debut with a very tough effort at Ladbrokes Park last year and the form coming out of that race has been strong. It has been a while since she was seen at the races, but she clearly does have ability and she showed good early speed on debut. She can take up a forward position from the inside barrier draw and prove tough to run down.

The Valley - Race 4 8:00pm AEDT

No. 7 Silverhawk

I am happy to forgive Silverhawk for his poor last start effort at Flemington and his two wins before that at Werribee were excellent. The fact that trainer Mick Price has freshened him up for this contest is a positive and he strikes me as a horse that will appreciate The Valley. He is over the odds in what is an open race.

The Valley - Race 6 9.00pm AEDT

No. 1 Twitchy Frank

Twitchy Frank had excuses when she was beaten at Flemington last start and this contest is a genuine drop in class. Her win before that at Caulfield was excellent and she is a mare that has raced well at The Valley in the past. She maps to get a lovely run in transit from the inside barrier and she is well-placed to return to winning form.

The Valley - Race 8 10:00pm AEDT

No. 9 Age Of Chivalry

Age Of Chivalry showed promise during his maiden racing campaign and he lived up to that when he returned to the races with a very impressive win at Ladbrokes Park and he is a horse with plenty of upside. This is a step-up in quality, but I think that he has the talent to handle it and he can make it two wins in a row.
