It’s the Epsom Derby 2019 on Saturday and you don’t want to miss this Money Back Special from Genting Bet! Simply place a single bet of £10.00+ on the 16:30 at Epsom and if Sir Dragonet wins, Genting Bet will refund our first losing bet as a free bet, up to a maximum of £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £7.16 and here’s how…
Key Terms:
- We must place a single bet of £10.00+ or £10.00 each way on the Epsom Derby.
- Our bet must be placed between 12:00 on Thursday 30th May 2019 and 16:30 (race-off) on Saturday 1st June 2019.
- If our first bet loses and Sir Dragonet wins, our stake will be refunded as a free bet, up to £10.00.

It’s entirely up to you which horse you go for. At the time of writing, the lay odds aren’t quite tight enough, so I’ll use fictional lay odds for Telecaster (9/2) in the following example and I’ll update the bottom of the post with an actual selection after the race.

Place £10.00 on Telecaster @ 5.50 = Potential profit of £45.00
Lay £9.35 on Telecaster @ 5.90 = Potential liability of £45.81

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

So, if Sir Dragonet wins, we’ll make a nice profit of £7.16! Any other outcome and we’ll lose a maximum of £0.84. Risking £0.84 to make a profit of £7.16, gives us effective odds of 9.52. So, given that Sir Dragonet is odds of just 3.75 (11/4) to win the race, this is a profitable offer in the long run.
