Scottish Premiership: Scott Brown booking on the cards

It's been a terrific weekend of betting so far and after two winners in the Dundee United game on Friday, it was followed up with another two Scottish winners on Saturday as Cove delivered the 11/10 (NAP) and over 2.5 goals landed at Motherwell v Hibs at 1/1

Sunday gives us the first Old Firm Derby of the season as Rangers host Celtic at Ibrox in what is always an eagerly anticipated game.

Selectabet and I have given our thoughts on the match on this weeks Gambla podcast and for me its all about goals and cards

Rangers vs Celtic (KO  12pm)

Won't add too much to what I've already said about this game on this weeks Podcast  – Like Mr Fixit , I don't think Rangers will lose this game but the WDW market is best left alone.

Instead, my angle is the cards market – Scott Brown was booked in all 4 old firm league game last season and has been booked in 6 of the last 7 derbies.

He faces a tough task tomorrow containing Jack, Davies and Aribo – the Celtic captain isn't getting any younger and given his record of being booked in this fixture coupled with the fact they are playing a much improved Ranger side, I think he looks a hot favourite to receive a card  (the bookies certainly do).

Morelos will be popular at 5/6 to be carded and the hot headed Columbian will do well to stay out of trouble – another option is Rangers Defender Katic who' already been booked 4 time this season.

Celtic have scored 15 goals in three league games and look unplayable at times going forward with Christie, Forrest and Edouard running the show  – defensively though the jury is still out and I'd be stunned if they kept a clean sheet.

Recommended Bets:

  • Scott Brown to be carded
  • 10/11 (Bet365) (NAP)
  • Over 2.5 match goals
  • 28/25 (Marathonbet)
  • Nickola Katic to be booked  / Borna Barisic to be booked
  • 10/1 (Bet365)
