Daily Racing Tips – Jericho Cup Day Special

Warrnambool - Race 6 3:40pm AEDT

No. 1 Atlantica

Atlantica raced consistently last campaign and she finds herself in a very winnable contest first-up. This is the weakest race that she has contested in some time and she has won first-up on two previous occasions. She can make a winning return to the races and is over the odds at the current price of $5.

Warrnambool - Race 7 4:10pm AEDT

No. 3 Whenever Wherever

Whenever Wherever has recorded three wins from his seven race starts and the Pins gelding has plenty of upside. He will get a long way back from the wide barrier draw, but there will be plenty of speed on early and he has the turn-of-foot to finish over the top of his rivals late. I think he will end up in much stronger company than this.

Warrnambool - Race 8 4:55pm AEDT

No. 1 Ablaze

The Jericho Cup is a proper staying test and there is no doubt that this will be a battle of stamina rather than a battle of speed. Ablaze was excellent over the jumps during his Winter campaign and his victory over 3340 metres at Gawler last start was full of merit. The extended trip will not be an issue for him and he is the horse to beat.

Warrnambool - Race 9 5:30pm AEDT

No. 2 Ammoudi Bay

Ammoudi Bay returned to the races with a very impressive victory at Terang and he generally does improve the further that he gets into his campaign. He has ran well in stronger company than this and I really can’t work out why there is $8 currently available. He is well and truly over the odds.
