Daily Racing Tips – Bagot Handicap Day Special

Flemington - Race 3 2:25pm AEDT

No. 3 Yulong January

Yulong January has recorded three wins on the trot and there is no reason that he can’t continue his winning ways. He could hardly have been more impressive when he led from start to finish at Flemington last start and this race isn’t much tougher. Jye McNeil can take him right to the front and he will prove tough to run down.

Flemington - Race 4 3:00pm AEDT

No. 4 Halvorsen

Halvorsen has recorded two wins from as many race starts this campaign and he is the horse to beat in the Standish Handicap. The Magnus gelding ran the fastest closing sectionals of the day at Flemington last start and a repeat of that effort would make him very tough to beat.

Flemington - Race 6 3:40pm AEDT

No. 1 Dogmatic

Dogmatic can overcome a big weight to win at Flemington this afternoon. He returned to the races with a close second behind Living The Dream last start and there is no horse of that quality in this field. The Domesday gelding generally does improve second-up and he can go to a level that will make him tough to beat.

Flemington - Race 7 5:00pm AEDT

No. 3 Secret Blaze

Secret Blaze is a stayer with a huge amount of ability and there is no reason that he can’t win the Bagot Handicap. He has recorded three wins from his past four starts and his only defeat in that streak came in the Pakenham Cup. The Sizzling gelding still has serious upside and you can’t say that about the majority of this field.
