Daily Racing Tips – Thursday 2nd January

Geelong - Race 2 1:30pm AEDT

No. 10 Hot In Paris

This is a genuine drop in quality for Hot In Paris and she has an excellent chance to record a maiden race win in this contest. She was able to finish in the placings at The Valley last start and a repeat of that effort should be more than good enough to win a race of this quality.

Geelong - Race 5 3:00pm AEDT

No. 1 Bet Red

Bet Red has finished second in his two race starts to date and he is another galloper that is well-placed to record a maiden race win this afternoon. He showed a lovely turn-of-foot to finish second at Werribee on debut and he had excuses when he was beaten at Yarra Valley last start. On exposed form, he has a clear edge over the rest of this field.

Geelong - Race 8 4:30pm AEDT

No. 5 She’s On Time

She’s On Time returned to the races with an impressive win at Kyneton and she didn’t have any luck in running when she finished a close second at Mornington last start. She will need a touch of luck in running again from barrier 12, but she is a serious talent and should have too much quality for the rest of this field.

Geelong - Race 9 4:00pm AEDT

No. 9 Via Capo

Via Capo doesn’t win out of turn, but this does look like a nice race for him. He finished a credible second at Bendigo last start and the form coming out of that race has been strong. Damien Oliver in the saddle is a big positive and he will be able to ride the Street Boss gelding aggressively in the early stages of the race.
