Daily Racing Tips – Sunday 1st March

Wangaratta - Race 2 1:05pm AEDT

No. 3 Departing Bullet

Departing Bullet will need a touch of luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but he will still be tough to beat in this contest. There was plenty of merit in his last start effort at Bendigo and this is a genuine drop in quality. Daniel Stackhouse can ride him aggressively in the early stages and he will prove tough to run down.

Wangaratta - Race 3 1:40pm AEDT

No. 4 The Boy Wonder

The Boy Wonder doesn’t have a great winning record, but this does look like a lovely race for him. His victory at Echuca a couple of starts ago was excellent and he has since run well in much tougher races than this at Ladbrokes Park Sandown and Pakenham. This is his chance to return to winning form.

Wangaratta - Race 5 3:50pm AEDT

No. 1 Ashlor

The Eldorado looks like an excellent race for Ashlor. He returned to the races with a credible fifth place finish behind Scales Of Justice in the Australia Stakes and he wasn’t beaten far in the Southern Cross Stakes at Royal Randwick. Barrier five is ideal and on his best form he has a class edge over the rest of this field.

Wangaratta - Race 6 3:20pm AEDT

No. 3 Yulong Knight

Yulong Knight returned to the races with a very close fourth at Flemington and this is a genuine drop in quality. The Invincible Spirit gelding has speed to burn and he will have no issues finding the front in the early stages of this contest. It will take a smart horse to run him down.
