Daily Racing Tips – Wednesday 1st April

Ladbrokes Park Sandown - Race 1 1:35pm AEDT

No. 10 Charleise

Charleise is well and truly over the odds at her current quote of $8.50. Her first-up victory at Geelong last campaign was full of quality and she wasn’t disgraced behind the likes of recent William Reid Stakes winning filly Loving Gaby, Exhilarates and Villami in the Scarborough Stakes. She has trialed nicely ahead of her return to the races and she maps to get a lovely run in transit with Jon Allen in the saddle.

Ladbrokes Park Sandown - Race 3 2:10pm AEDT

No. 5 Affair To Remember

This looks like a lovely race for Affair To Remember. She wasn’t beaten far in the Ladbrokes Sandown Guineas in the Spring and she returned to the races with a credible effort at this track. The wide barrier draw isn’t ideal, but she does have tactical versatility and the wide draw does give Michael Poy plenty of options in the early stages of this contest.

Ladbrokes Park Sandown - Race 6 3:55pm AEDT

No. 11 Treaty Of Seville

Treaty Of Seville returned to winning form at Pakenham last start and there is no reason that he can’t make it two wins on the trot. He ran some of the fastest closing sectionals of the night at Pakenham and he still has the scope to improve on that performance. The Shooting To Win gelding is the class galloper in this field and he will prove very tough to beat.

Ladbrokes Park Sandown - Race 8 5:05pm AEDT

No. 15 Open Minded

Open Minded is clearly the horse to beat in the final contest of the day at Ladbrokes Park Sandown. The Jimmy Choux gelding has recorded two wins from as many race starts and never gave his rivals a chance when he led from start to finish to win at Cranbourne in his final start before he was sent to the spelling paddock. Mark Zahra can ride him aggressively from the wide barrier draw and he will give his rivals something to chase.
