Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Betting Guide

Time sure flies when you’re having fun.

In the span of 12 months, the Kansas City Chiefs have transitioned from their cozy, niche corner of the NFL market, all the way into a global powerhouse as they look to move one step closer to dynasty status on Monday with a win over the Bucs.

Being a Chiefs fan these days is easy, but for those of us that suffered through the 30-plus years of obscurity, or worse, the Brodie Croyle era, this second consecutive trip to the Super Bowl is really something to cherish.

While the excitement is high, we here at Chiefs Kingdom are also a realistic bunch.

A lifetime of misery reminds us to never get ahead of ourselves, especially with Tom Brady on the opposite sideline.

That said, three years of Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid reminds us that we’ve got the best arm and the best brain in football, alongside of course, the most passionate fan base in the world.

Super Bowl LV isn’t just about the Lombardi Trophy, it’s a chance for the Chiefs to slay the GOAT and for the Red Kingdom to reign supreme!

Best Bet

Let’s rewind to when these two sides last met back in Week 12, shall we?

Mahomes threw for over 450 yards and three touchdowns in a memorable three-point win, a result we’re pretty confident we’ll see again with the future two-time Super Bowl MVP well rested ahead of his trip to Tampa.

We’ll give credit where its due, Brady was equally phenomenal last time out, but good luck achieving the same results against the genius that is Andy Reid.

In case you hadn’t heard, Big Red has coached to an 18-3 record off the bye and a 5-2 record in the playoffs. Brady might be the Super Bowl expert, but even he can’t compare to those numbers.

Tip: Chiefs 1-13 @ $2.50

First Touchdown Scorer

Remember when Tyreek Hill burned the Bucs for 269 yards and three touchdowns a few months back? Yeah, I’m tipping we will see that again.

Hill has been phenomenal during the playoffs this year reeling in a combined 17 catches for 282 yards, a worrying sign for Bucs defensive coordinator Todd Bowles with a few key defenders missing in the secondary.

The one thing that has eluded Hill so far has been a touchdown, something he could snag nice and early if Tampa Bay fails to pay the league’s top receiver any respect.

After Scotty Miller’s ridiculous claim earlier in the week, we highly doubt Hill will be short on motivation.

Tip: Tyreek Hil @ $6.40

Total TD’s H2H – Travis Kelce v Chris Godwin

Here’s a stat: Mahomes has thrown 33 touchdowns to Travis Kelce since 2018.

Having a tight end like Kelce, one you can rely on when the going gets tough, is an absolute luxury that most teams can only dream of.

Kelce’s fourth quarter heroics last year went a long way to securing our second Lombardi, and it’s almost insulting to find him paired alongside Chris Godwin in this head-to-head market.

Kelce has seen double-digit targets in both of our playoff games so far and you just know Mahomes is going to look his way when we need a first down.

All things considered; these odds look a steal.

Tip: Travis Kelce @ $2.15

Anytime Touchdown Scorer

We get it, the Bucs are tough to run against, but you can’t discount Mahomes punching one in for six.

Aaron Rodgers had a couple of chances to do just that in the NFC Championship Game whilst Tampa paid close attention to Davante Adams in the end zone.

Hill and Kelce will no doubt account for double coverage, and we’re willing to bet Mahomes can run the Bucs ragged as a result.

Tip: Patrick Mahomes @ $3.75

Super Bowl LV MVP

Providing Brady doesn’t deflate the football pre-game, Mahomes should be winning his second MVP in a canter.

Maybe it’s because he’s set the bar so high, or maybe it’s because we’ve just grown used to it – but for whatever reason, it just feels as though Mahomes has been going through the motions this year.

Fortunately, that means he’s saved his best for last as he looks to pick apart the Tampa Bay defence for the second time this year.

These awards always go to quarterbacks more often than not, and the odds on ole’ Kermit winning it again tell you all you need to know.

Tip: Patrick Mahomes @ $1.91
