Shanway has been racing really consistently without winning in recent times, having been runner up in three of his last five race starts.

He was excellent behind the smart Back IN Twenty at this track and distance last start and a repeat of that would see him go close in a race of this quality.

No. 3 Patronus Star

Patronus Star kick started this campaign with an impressive winner at this circuit as the short priced favourite.

He followed that with a narrow defeat and was far from disgraced last start here as well.

He has managed 12 wins from 24 career race starts and this is a very winnable race for him.

Gloucester Park - Race 7 10:17pm AEST

No. 10 Minstrel

Minstrel is a very talented young horse who is putting together a really impressive resume having won nine of 19 starts with a further six placings.

He started this campaign with a dominant win at Pinjarra and will only improve off that effort into this assignment.
