2021 Melbourne Cup Day Tips – Best Away From Flemington

Randwick - Race 7 4:20pm AEDT

No. 5 Wandabaa

Wandabaa has been an incredibly consistent mare throughout her 26 start racing career, placing in 19 of those starts.

The five year old mare put in a rare bad one when first up in the Group 3 Nivision behind the very smart Minhaaj.

I love the fact that she has had a trial in between runs where she won impressively.

Eagle Farm - Race 4 3:51pm AEDT

No. 4 Virtuous Miss

Kris Lees saddles up last start winner Viruous Miss in the fourth race of the afternoon at Eagle Farm and she looks a very good bet at her current price.

She couldn’t have been much more impressive when breaking her maiden at Doomben by 3.5 lengths last start and is again well placed in this event over the short course.

Drawn to get a nice run in transit from barrier four.

Eagle Farm - Race 6 5:08pm AEDT

No. 7 The Big Goodbye

The Big Goodbye has finished inside the top two in all six of his starts so far this prep including a last start win at this track and distance.

He has been unplaced just once in 14 career starts which is credit to Rob Heathcote for the placement of the horse, something which he has gotten spot on again in this event.

He’s been really well supported in early whish suggests he will be hard to beat.

Ascot - Race 6 6:20pm AEDT

No. 11 Arcadia Grace

Arcadia Grace will start the sixth race of the afternoon as the short priced favourite but the filly looks incredibly hard to beat.

She was beaten over four lengths at Listed level last start she will appreciate the huge step back in grade for this assignment.

William Pike steers from barrier two and the blinkers have been added for the first time.
