Jimmy Cassidy’s 2021 Melbourne Cup Tips

Jimmy Cassidy has won the Melbourne Cup on two occasions, with Kiwi and Might And Power, and he knows more about the race than most!

The Pumper has analysed the entire field and his complete 2021 Melbourne Cup tips can be found below!

Winner – Incentivise

Incentivise is an absolute superstar and he might be the most exciting horse to run in a Melbourne Cup since Might And Power in 1997.

He could not have been more impressive in the Caulfield Cup and I think that he will be even better over the 3200 metres of the Melbourne Cup.

I like the fact that he makes his own luck right on the speed and he is a stayer with a serious amount of class.

I am confident that he can win the Melbourne Cup by more than five lengths.

2nd – Twilight Payment

I expect Twilight Payment to produce another strong performance in the Melbourne Cup.

He could not have been tougher when he won the race 12 months ago and his lead-up form has been even better than it was 12 months ago.

Jye McNeil can settle him right on the speed once again and he will be in the mix.

3rd – The Chosen One

I have always been a big fan of The Chosen One and I expect him to produce another strong effort in the 2021 edition of the Melbourne Cup.

I am confident that he is a better horse than his Caulfield Cup effort suggests and he was gallant in fourth in the Melbourne Cup 12 months ago.

Barrier five is ideal and he will have every possible chance with Damian Lane in the saddle.

4th – Pondus

You can never discount a Lloyd Williams-owned runner in the Melbourne Cup.

Pondus has been building towards this race nicely and the stable will have him ready to peak over 3200 metres.

It doesn’t surprise that he has been well-backed in early betting.
