[29] Tommy Paul vs Sebastian Korda Prediction

It’ll be an All-American battle on Wednesday as Paul and Korda go head-to-head. These two players are no stranger to one another having played each other three times before. All three of their previous meetings happened in 2021, with Korda winning them all. Two of the three matches were played on outdoor hard courts.

Despite having played each other before, this will the first meeting between the two at a Grand Slam. And both come into the tournament with roughly the same amount of experience.

The two have a different style of play as Paul comes across at the stronger player, while Korda is the more technical one.

Given the history between the two, yes it seems like Korda might have the slight edge, but look for the duration of the match to be the best bet.

Best Bet: Four sets (+170)

Daniel Elahi Galan vs Jordan Thompson Prediction

It’s been a couple of years but Elahi Galan and Thompson have faced each other once before. The two went head-to-head in 2019 where Elahi Galan took the quarterfinal match in three sets. The match was played on an outdoor clay court.

This time around, the two are scheduled to play at 2:15pm ET on Court 11.

Elahi Galan is coming off a very impressive first round win over Stefano Tsitsipas, where he defeated the Greek Star in four sets, after breezing through his qualifying matches. Thompson was just as impressive with a come from behind win, after dropping the first two sets against his first round opponent.

Despite Elahi Galan being the favorite heading into the match, Thompson might have the slight edge. All eyes will be on the Colombian after his incredible win, and we’ve seen that work against players. They aren’t able to refocus themselves, and come back down.

Best Bet: Jordan Thompson (+110)

Jack Draper vs [6] Felix Auger-Aliassime Prediction

Draper and Auger-Aliassime will go head-to-head for the first time in their young careers, when they face off in the second round of the tournament on Wednesday. The two’s match is currently set for 7pm ET.

The 22-year old Canadian will be entering the match as the favorite, given his year and his impressive 36-20 record. But the 20-year old Brit is not to be written off. Draper holds a 33-7 record on indoor and outdoor hard courts this year.

Auger-Aliassime has found success at the US Open in the past, and comes into this match the more experienced of the two. But this looks to be an exciting close match that won’t be an easy win for whoever is able to come out on top. Look for the set total as the best bet here.

Best Bet: Four sets (+185)
