Eagles vs Texans Early Odds & Prediction

It is not surprising the Eagles are double-digit road favorites over the Texans. Yet the 13-point spread seems a little high despite the disparity in the teams’ records.

The Eagles have won their first seven games by an average margin of 9.8 points but four of their victories have been by single digits. Sunday wasn’t one of them as they blew out the Steelers behind 285 yards passing and four touchdown passes from Jalen Hurts.

Three of the TD throws went to A.J. Brown in the first half. Brown finished with six receptions for 156 yards as the Eagles are 7-0 for the first time since 2004.

Four of the Texans’ five losses have been by 10 points or fewer. They hung in the loss to the Titans, though Tennessee did start rookie quarterback Malik Willis in place of injured Ryan Tannehill.

The Texans were able to stay within a touchdown despite having 161 total yards and going 2 of 14 on third down.

The Eagles are clearly the better team, but the Texans have enough to at least get under the big number.

Pick: Texans +13 (-110)

Titans vs Chiefs Early Odds & Prediction

The Titans enter the game on a five-game winning streak after starting the season 0-2 yet the Chiefs are favored by 11.5 points. Kansas City was off this week after winning three of its previous four games.

In Sunday’s win over the Texans, Derrick Henry ran wild. He rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns on a season-high 32 carries and his six career 200-yard games tie O.J. Simpson and Adrian Peterson for the NFL record.

The Titans defense limited Texans to 43 yards rushing in 18 attempts.

The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 44-23 on Oct. 23 on the road.

Patrick Mahomes and the offense is coming off an impressive performance against the 49ers’ strong defense. However, look for the Titans to at least keep this game close.

Pick: Titans +11.5 (-110)

Rams vs Buccaneers Early Odds & Prediction

Tom Brady will try to get the struggling Buccaneers (3-5) headed in the right direction when they host the equally disappointing Los Angeles Rams (3-4) in the Sunday afternoon late window. Tampa Bay is a 2.5-point pick.

The Rams lost for the third time in their last four games Sunday as they were downed 31-14 by the visiting San Francisco 49ers. The Rams led 14-10 at halftime but managed just 43 total yards in the second half while getting outscored 21-0.

The Buccaneers’ losing streak reached three games Thursday night with a 27-22 loss to the Baltimore Ravens at home. Tampa Bay has also lost five of its last six games after beginning the season with consecutive wins.

It is the first time Brady has lost three games in a row since 2002, his first year as a starter with the Patriots.

Surely, the seven-time Super Bowl must break that skid sometime. Why not against the reeling Rams?

Pick: Buccaneers -2.5 (-114)
