Can I Bet on College Football Week 1 in Kentucky?

  • College football Week 1 kicks off this weekend
  • Kentucky residents are wondering if they can bet on CFB
  • Below is everything you need to know about the state of KY online sports betting and college football

As of Monday morning August 28, several Kentucky betting apps opened their pre-registration periods. Kentucky residents were able to sign up early with these sportsbooks and betting sites, claiming all sorts of bonus money and rewards in the process.

With CFB Week 1 set to kick off and local KY schools like Louisville and the University of Kentucky on the schedule, a number of residents of the Bluegrass State are wondering if they’ll actually be able to bet on these games.

Continue reading for more information on the current state of Kentucky sports betting, if college football betting will be allowed, and the best way to unlock bonus bets at the moment.

Can Kentucky Bet on College Football Week 1?

It’s never fun to be the bearer of bad news, but the unfortunate reality is that Kentucky bettors will not be allowed to wager on any college football Week 1 action this weekend.

Despite pre-registration periods being open for sites like DraftKings, FanDuel, Bet365, and most recently BetMGM, this doesn’t mean that KY residents can bet on college football quite yet.

The official launch date for Kentucky online sports betting isn’t until September 28. While you can currently begin signing up early with the above-mentioned sportsbooks and betting apps, you won’t actually be able to bet with these sites until the 28th.

Will I Be Able to Bet on College Football Online in Kentucky?

While Kentucky residents are currently unable to wager on any sports until late September, it is important to note that college football betting will be allowed once KY sports betting launches.

This is important to note because not every state that allows online sports betting also permits college sports betting. Several states have imposed pretty strict rules and regulations when it comes to online sports gambling and collegiate programs.

Luckily for Kentucky, this won’t be the case with their Kentucky betting sites and sportsbooks. Once things launch on Sept. 28, KY bettors will be able to place bets on all their favorite college football teams.

Local schools like Louisville and the University of Kentucky will likely generate some serious interest.

Kentucky College Football Betting – How to Claim Early Bonuses

In the meantime, while we all wait for Kentucky sports betting to officially launch, the best way to get involved is by taking advantage of the previously mentioned pre-registration bonuses.

By pre-registering, all you are doing is signing up a few weeks early with some of the top KY sportsbooks on the market. By doing this, you are not only locking in your place with the app, but you’re also gaining access to exclusive pre-reg bonuses that otherwise wouldn’t be available.

Here’s a quick look at the top Kentucky betting apps that have opened up early registration and what their bonuses are:

If you’re in Kentucky and itching to get involved with some Kentucky college football betting, I highly recommend you claim these pre-reg bonuses and set yourself up for some early betting success on launch day.
