Combining these three picks – Notre Dame ML, Miami ML, and Penn State ML – gives us an enticing parlay at +425 odds to kick off the college football season.

CFB Parlay Picks: Notre Dame ML

Kicking off my Week 1 college football parlay is a pick for Notre Dame to cover the three-point spread against Texas A&M on Saturday night.

The Irish have revamped their offense with transfer quarterback Riley Leonard and new OC Mike Denbrock, who guided Jayden Daniels to the Heisman at LSU last season. There’s a reason ND is heavily favored to make the CFP.

Leonard impressed at Duke, throwing for 4,450 yards in three years before injuries cut his 2023 season short. Meanwhile, the Aggies face offensive uncertainty with QB Conner Weigman coming off a season-ending foot injury and the loss of star RB Rueben Owens II to injury.

Notre Dame’s defense, which ranked 10th nationally in points allowed (15.9 per game) and 3rd in pass defense (157.3 yards per game) last season, should stifle A&M’s attack. I don’t see the Aggies scoring enough to keep pace with the Irish.

CFB Picks: Miami Florida ML

Another addition to my Week 1 college football parlay is the Miami Hurricanes moneyline at -135 against the Florida Gators in their Week 1 matchup on Saturday

Miami’s offense looks primed for a leap with transfer QB Cam Ward, who threw for 3,736 yards and 25 touchdowns at Washington State last year.

The Hurricanes also return leading rusher Damien Martinez (1,007 yards, 12 TDs in 2023) and add impact transfer receivers Jacolby George and Elijah Badger. This talent influx should boost Miami’s scoring beyond last year’s 31.5 points per game average.

Florida’s offense raises more questions than answers. QB Graham Mertz is returning from injury, and they’ve lost RB Rueben Owens II for the season. Mertz ranked just 92nd nationally in deep pass attempts last year, and losing top threat Ricky Pearsall to the NFL further limits their vertical game.

Sharp money is backing Miami, with the Hurricanes receiving 53% of bets but 91% of the moneyline handle. This lopsided action suggests strong confidence in Miami from serious bettors.

CFB Picks #3: Penn State ML

Concluding my Week 1 college football parlay is a pick for Penn State to win against West Virginia on Saturday. While this pick has the heaviest juice in my CFB parlay, I believe the Nittany Lions are still undervalued.

Penn State’s offense should excel under new coordinator Andy Kotelnicki and with QB Drew Allar’s continued development. As a freshman, Allar threw for 1,687 yards and 13 touchdowns in limited action.

The Nittany Lions also boast an elite RB duo in Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen, who combined for over 1,900 rushing yards and 22 TDs last season.

Defensively, Penn State returns six starters from a unit that ranked 11th nationally in points allowed (18.1 per game). Their front seven could be one of the nation’s best.

The Nittany Lions also hold a significant edge on special teams. Kicker Jake Pinegar returns for his sixth season after hitting 16-of-20 field goals in 2023. West Virginia, meanwhile, ranked 129th in ESPN’s special teams efficiency last season and is breaking in new specialists.

While the Mountaineers have a solid QB in Garrett Greene and a tough home environment, it’s not enough to overcome Penn State’s talent advantage. The Nittany Lions should prevail in Morgantown.
