Wyndham Championship Picks, Predictions & Odds

  • The Wyndham Championship tees off Thursday, July 31st, from Greensboro, North Carolina
  • Matt Fitzpatrick is the +2000 favorite over three golfers to win outright
  • See my 2025 Wyndham Championship picks, best value bets, and the odds to win the tournament below

After Kurt Kitayama won the 3M Open going off with +3500 odds to win pre-tournament, the PGA Tour heads to Greensboro, North Carolina for the Wyndham Championship.

This tournament is the final event before the FedEx Cup Playoffs, so players will be jockeying for position to be inside the top-70 on the season-long points race to make the postseason. Going low is imperative for success at Sedgefield Country Club, with the eventual champion shooting double-digits under par each year since 1994.

2022 U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick enters as the +2000 favorite to win his third PGA Tour title. He’s posted three straight top-8s, including a tie for fourth at the Open Championship. He’s followed by 2025 Travelers Championship winner Keegan Bradley, two-time winner this year Ben Griffin and Robert MacIntyre, who nearly won this year’s U.S. Open.

Jake Knapp starts my card this week, and I suspect he’ll also be on a lot of golf bettors board as well. He was extremely close to picking up his second PGA Tour title this last weekend, winding up in a tie for third at the 3M Open. That is a continuation of a super strong stretch of golf, where he’s been inside the top-25 in his last four starts (also a tie for fourth at the Rocket Classic).

Odds as of 12:30am ET on July 28th at DraftKings. If you happen to be in Missouri, online sports betting is set to launch before the end of the year. Keep up with the latest Missouri sports betting apps to know all the details, including launch date and signup promos!

Last Five Wyndham Championship Winners

Year Winner
2024 Aaron Rai
2023 Lucas Glover
2022 Tom Kim
2021 Kevin Kisner
2020 Jim Herman

This championship is pretty wide open, with many of the game’s biggest stars resting before the playoffs begin in two weeks. Knapp, who won the 2024 Mexico Open, has recently found himself on plenty of leaderboards and is getting accustomed to feeling the heat on Sunday’s. I like that experience and recent run of success, so at +3000 to win outright, you’re getting him at better value than the top-five golfers competing.

Wyndham Championship 2025 Picks & Value Bets

  1. Si Woo Kim +4000: Though he hasn’t been quite as scorching hot at this venue the last three years, I still like taking a flier on Si Woo Kim, based on past performances. He won at this course in 2016, then from 2019 to 2021, Kim was fifth, T-3rd, T-2nd. The last 24 rounds at this track, he’s third in strokes gained: tee-to-green, making him an interesting choice.
  2. Nicolai Hojgaard +5000: The last three tournaments, Nicolai Hojgaard has been playing very solidly, ranking second in total strokes gained in the last twelve rounds. He chased a top-25 at the Rocket Classic with a tie for fourth at the Genesis Scottish Open, then a top-15 at the Open Championship. It’s only a matter of time before he breaks through, and in 2023, Hojgaard had a respectable T-14th at this tourney.
  3. Byeong Hun An +8000: Ben An is still searching for elusive PGA Tour victory, and Sedgefield Country Club could be the course he finally breaks through. In 2019, he finished in solo third at the Wyndham, then two years ago, was runner-up. The last twelve rounds at this track, An is fifth in strokes gained: tee-to-green, making him an intriguing option at these long of odds.
  4. David Lipsky +45000: This is an absolutely wild number posted by DraftKings, and it feels like the number will come considerably down closer to the first round. David Lipsky has finished tied for third in two of his last four events, at the John Deere Classic and the 3M Open, which was completed Sunday. He’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 10/20 markets.
