Hero World Challenge Odds, Prediction and Picks

  • The Hero World Challenge tees off Thursday, December 4th, from Albany GC
  • Scottie Scheffler is the two-time defending champ, and a +160 favorite to 3-peat
  • Keep reading for the 2025 Hero World Challenge odds, and my favorite picks below

The PGA Tour lands in the Bahamas this week for the Hero World Challenge hosted by Tiger Woods. The 20-man field is headlined by World No. 1 and two-time defending champ Scottie Scheffler, who’s teeing it up competitively for the first time since the Ryder Cup.

Scheffler is a ridiculously short favorite to win the Hero this week, in part because of the names not participating. Six of the top-10 players in the World are skipping the event, including Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Xander Schaufele.

Hero World Challenge Odds 2025

Golfer Odds
Scottie Scheffler +160
Robert MacIntyre +1000
Cameron Young +1100
J.J. Spaun +1400
Sam Burns +1400
Keegan Bradley +1400
Hideki Matsuyama +1600
Aaron Rai +1800
Akshay Bhatia +2000
Jordan Spieth +2000
Harris English +2200
Corey Conners +2200
Chris Gotterup +2200
Alex Noren +2200
Sepp Straka +2200
Justin Rose +2500
Brian Harman +2800
Billy Horschel +3000
Wyndham Clark +3500
Andrew Novak +4000

Scottie Scheffler opened as a +160 favorite, followed by Robert MacIntyre at +1000. For context, Scheffler’s price is the roughly the same as a 3.5-point underdog on the moneyline in the NFL. His form and course history certainly justify the odds, but I’m not going to sweat missing out on him if he happens to win again at such a short number.

Odds as of 8:32pm ET on November 30th. Get the DraftKings promo code to score a bonus to bet on golf this week.

Last 5 Hero World Challenge Winners

Year Winner
2024 Scottie Scheffler
2023 Scottie Scheffler
2022 Viktor Hovland
2021 Viktor Hovland
2019 Henrik Stenson

If you do want to get on Scheffler in the outright market, I’d suggest waiting until the tournament gets underway. Scottie doesn’t typically shoot the round of the day on Thursday or Friday, so there’s a strong chance you can get much more favorable odds on him if someone posts a low number early. Scheffler came from behind on Sunday last year at this tournament by shooting a Final Round 63 to win the title, and he has a long track record of storming the field on the weekend to take home the trophy.

Hero World Challenge Prediction

My favorite Hero World Challenge prediction before the tournament tees off is reigning U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun at +1400. Spaun posted first, second and sixth place results over his final eight events of the season, and is one of the purest ball strikers on the planet.

The World No. 9 ranks second in this field in strokes gained approach and birdie or better percentage over his last 24 rounds, and is one the most accurate drivers on the planet. That will serve him well at Albany GC, where position off the tee is crucial.

Spaun is also a fantastic Par-3 and Par-5 scorer, and those metrics will go a long way in determining a winner this week. Albany GC features five Par-5’s, five Par-3’s and only eight Par-4’s, which is unlike any venue during the PGA Tour’s regular season.

Hero World Challenge Value Picks

  1. Sam Burns (+1400): My value picks list isn’t very long this week with such a short field, but I couldn’t possibly leave Sam Burns off it. The American is arguably the best putter playing this week, and ranks top-seventh in the field over the last 24 rounds in strokes gained approach, Par-3 and Par-5 scoring. He ended his season with three top-seven results in his final nine starts, and is one of the most prolific birdie makers in the field.
  2. Sepp Straka (+2200): Straka had a disappointing final few months after winning twice early on in the 2025 season. Now that he’s had some time off to reset, I like his chances of showing up to the Bahamas and going low. Straka is top-three in this field in strokes gained off the tee and driving accuracy, and top-seven in approach play and putting. That’s a lethal combination when it’s clicking, and one that can make his +2200 pre-tournament odds look like an absolute steal come Sunday.
