  • Eight Top 25 teams are in action tonight, highlighted by No. 6 UConn vs. No. 15 St. John’s
  • Sharp money floods the market backing Florida +6.5 and Maryland +17.5 as valuable road underdogs.
  • I have generated ATS and O/U picks for each key game from our internal A.I. model

A loaded slate of college basketball action awaits tonight, headlined by a marquee Big East showdown featuring No. 6 UConn hosting No. 15 St. John’s. The Johnnies won their first encounter in early February at Madison Square Garden are now going for the season sweep. They are 8-0 on the road, offering a fascinating angle for bettors as they visit Hartford looking to sweep the Huskies.

Several ranked SEC squads are in action, including No. 7 Florida, No. 17 Alabama, No. 20 Arkansas and No. 25 Vanderbilt.

Our A.I. tools break down the key matchups, betting trends, and stylistic clashes to find the best college basketball bets for Feb. 25.

Expert College Basketball Predictions ATS & Totals Picks (Feb 25)

Our internal A.I. tools have identified the best bets for these seven college basketball games today.

Matchup ATS Pick Over/Under Pick
(7) Florida @ Texas Florida -6 (-110 Sleeper) Over 157.5 (-110 FanDuel)
(15) St. John’s @ (6) UConn St. John’s +5.5 (-115 BetMGM) Under 147.5 (-118 DraftKings)
Portland at (9) Gonzaga Gonzaga -27 (-110 Sleeper) Over 149.5 (-115 DraftKings)
Georgia @ (25) Vanderbilt Georgia +9.5 (-115 BetMGM) Under 165.5 (-105 FanDuel)
Maryland @ (12) Nebraska Maryland +17.5 (-104 FanDuel) Under 141.5 (-110 FanDuel)
Miss State @ (17) Alabama Alabama -13.5 (-110 Sleeper) Over 175.5 (-110 Sleeper)
Texas A&M @ (20) Arkansas Texas A&M +7.5 (-110 DraftKings) Under 170.5 (-110 FanDuel)

(15) St. John’s @ (6) UConn

Picks: St. John’s +5.5 (-115 BetMGM) | Under 147.5 (-118 DraftKings)

UConn has been formidable at home with a 13-2 record, but St. John’s has a psychological edge after beating UConn earlier and knowing it is 8-0 on the road. The betting value lies in the Red Storm’s ability to travel and execute in hostile environments.

Schematically, this game projects as a gritty defensive battle, supporting the Under 147.5. (They combined for 153 in the first game, but expect adjustments to be made.) The paint will be contested heavily; UConn’s Tarris Reed Jr. leads the conference in efficiency (63.6% FG), but he runs into St. John’s Zuby Ejiofor (15.9 points). With UConn’s Silas Demary Jr. running a disciplined offense and St. John’s possessing elite rim protection, points in the half-court should be at a premium.

(7) Florida @ Texas

Picks: Florida -6 (-110 Sleeper) | Over 157.5 (-110 FanDuel)

Florida is among the hottest teams in the country. The Gators have won seven consecutive games to take over the SEC lead. They’ve won their past five games against teams that were ranked at the tip.

On the total, the efficiency numbers suggest the Over 157.5 is the play. Both teams feature highly efficient scorers who can fill it up. Texas’ Dailyn Swain is shooting an impressive 57.2% from the field while averaging 17.9 points, and Chinyelu is converting at a 60.3% clip for Florida. With both offenses capable of high-percentage finishing, this game should clear the posted total.

Mississippi State @ (17) Alabama

Picks: Alabama -13.5 (-110 Sleeper) | Over 175.5 (-110 Sleeper)

Alabama has the firepower to turn games into blowouts quickly at home. The Crimson Tide feature a multi-faceted attack led by Labaron Philon Jr. (21.3 points per game on better than 50% shooting), supported by the perimeter sniping of Aden Holloway (43.7% from deep). Mississippi State has struggled to a 13-14 record and likely lacks the defensive depth to slow down this rotation for 40 minutes.

The Over 175.5 is particularly attractive because this game features a duel between two of the SEC’s top three offensive threats. Mississippi State’s Josh Hubbard (22.0 PPG) and Alabama’s Philon Jr. are liable to trade baskets all night. Even if the Bulldogs fall behind, Hubbard’s scoring volume combined with Alabama’s blistering pace should help push this game over the lofty total.

Texas A&M @ (20) Arkansas

Picks: Texas A&M +7.5 (-110 DraftKings) | Under 170.5 (-110 FanDuel)

While Arkansas boasts a dominant 14-1 record at Bud Walton Arena, the 7.5-point spread feels inflated against a Texas A&M squad that brings significant depth to Fayetteville. The Aggies have four players averaging double-digit points, making them difficult to defend as a collective unit. Furthermore, A&M forward Rashaun Agee (8.9 RPG) has the physical presence to challenge Arkansas on the interior and keep this game within two possessions.

Regarding the total, the market number of 170.5 appears too high for what projects to be a physical conference battle. While Arkansas star Darius Acuff Jr. (22.2 PPG) is a dynamic scorer, Texas A&M’s reliance on Agee in the paint often results in a more deliberate tempo. Look for the Aggies to slow the game down to neutralize the Razorbacks’ home crowd, keeping the final score Under the total.

Maryland @ (12) Nebraska

Picks: Maryland +17.5 (-104 FanDuel) | Under 141.5 (-110 FanDuel)

The betting line here suggests a complete mismatch, but recent history paints a different picture. Maryland has won the past three meetings, including a decisive 83-75 victory in Lincoln last season. While Nebraska is ranked and generally dominant at home, laying 17.5 points against a conference opponent that recently beat you on your own floor is a tall order. The sharp money discrepancy — heavy handle percentage on Maryland despite low ticket count — indicates professional bettors are grabbing the points.

Portland @ (9) Gonzaga

Picks: Gonzaga -27 (-110 Sleeper) | Over 149.5 (-115 DraftKings)

Laying nearly 30 points in a conference game requires a specific set of circumstances: a motivated favorite, a severe talent mismatch, and a tactical advantage. Gonzaga checks all three boxes. The shocking Feb. 4 loss at Portland serves as massive locker room material for head coach Mark Few, especially on a night honoring seniors like Graham Ike and Jalen Warley.

Georgia @ (25) Vanderbilt

Picks: Georgia +9.5 (-115 BetMGM) | Under 165.5 (-105 FanDuel)

Vanderbilt is ranked, but its recent form has been shaky, splitting their last 10 games evenly. Georgia, conversely, arrives with confidence after upsetting Texas 91-80. The 9.5-point spread seems to overvalue Vandy’s ranking while ignoring Georgia’s capacity to compete with top-tier SEC talent. With sharp money favoring the Bulldogs and Vanderbilt struggling to maintain consistency, taking the points is the logical play. The Under 165.5 correlates well here, as Vanderbilt will look to stabilize their defense after recent lapses.
