If you’re wondering what time does the Navarrete fight start, here’s the full breakdown by timezone:

Event Eastern (ET) Central (CT) Mountain (MT) Pacific (PT)
Prelims 5:20 PM 4:20 PM 3:20 PM 2:20 PM

The Vargas fight is one to keep an eye on. The 21-year-old son of former champion Fernando Vargas is 16-0 with 13 knockouts and faces his toughest opponent yet. He made headlines earlier this month for appearing during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.

The Cardenas vs Martinez fight is worth watching too. Combined records of 34-0-1 with 24 knockouts between them. Somebody’s zero has to go.

Navarrete vs Nunez Tale of the Tape

Navarrete is the bigger man with a clear reach edge. Nunez packs more power per punch. Both fighters made weight comfortably at Friday’s weigh-in, with Navarrete coming in at 129.2 lbs and Nunez at 129.8 lbs.

Emanuel Navarrete vs Eduardo Nunez

39-2-1, 32 KOs Record 29-1, 27 KOs
31 Age 28
5’7″ Height 5’6″
72″ Reach 68″
82% KO % 93%
WBO Title IBF

Navarrete is a three-division world champion with WBO belts at super bantamweight, featherweight, and super featherweight. He’s never been stopped in 43 pro fights. His recent form has been mixed, though. A split decision loss to Denys Berinchyk at lightweight, a controversial majority draw with Conceicao, a big KO win over Oscar Valdez, and then a no-contest against Charly Suarez that was overturned by the California commission.

Nunez has the scarier knockout rate at 93%. His only loss came back in 2018, just 10 fights into his career, and he’s won 19 straight since. He won the IBF belt in May 2025 by going to Japan and outpointing Masanori Rikiishi, then defended it against Christopher Diaz in his hometown of Los Mochis.

The four-inch reach advantage for Navarrete is the key number. If he can keep Nunez at the end of his jab and use his unorthodox timing, he can make this ugly for Sugar. But if Nunez closes the distance and gets inside, his power is the kind that ends fights.
