After Collin Morikawa won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for his first victory since 2023, the PGA Tour heads stays in California for yet another signature event – The Genesis Invitational. After last year forced the tourney to move to Torrey Pines due to the wildfires in the area, the PGA Tour’s best are back competing at famed Riviera Country Club.
Scottie Scheffler is the clear favorite, as he always is, followed by Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele. The defending champion at Riviera is Hideki Matsuyama, who lost a playoff at the WM Phoenix Open last week.
The Genesis Invitational Odds (2026)
I’m starting my card this week with Jake Knapp, who has had a stellar start to his 2026 campaign, with results that were T-11th at the Sony Open, T-5th Farmers Insurance Open, eighth at the WM Phoenix Open and T-8th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Last Five The Genesis Invitational Winners
*Last year’s tournament was contested at Torrey Pines, not at Riviera.
In the last 24 rounds on tour, Knapp is second in strokes gained: off-the-tee, which will be critical for success at this track, with the very difficult rough wreaking havoc. He sports very intriguing +3700 odds to win outright, which would be his second career triumph, following his 2024 Mexico Open breakthrough. For the week at Pebble Beach, Knapp was tops in driving distance, fourth in putting and sixth in scrambling. He’s very close to popping off to add another trophy to his closet.
The Genesis Invitational 2026 Picks & Value Bets
- Akshay Bhatia +5300: This past tournament was max pain for me, as a golf bettor. I’d wagered on Akshay Bhatia to win outright at +7400, and his lead grew to five strokes on Saturday. Bhatia led by two entering the final round, but fell off the pace into a T-6th position. The week before in Phoenix, he was even better, with a T-3rd finish.
- Max Homa +7600: Talk about a horse for this course, it’s definitely Max Homa. From 2020 to 2024 at this tourney, Homa racked up a victory in 2021, a runner-up in 2023, a top-five in 2020, a top-ten in 2022 and a T-16th result last year. In the last 24 rounds at Riviera, Homa is first in total strokes gained and putting, along with seventh tee-to-green.
- Jacob Bridgeman +7800: Jacob Bridgeman has been on a very nice run of late, with a top-five in Hawaii, followed by a top-15, then top-20, and a tie for eighth at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He led on the back nine of the final round before sputtering out, but these odds are awfully intriguing for an up-and-comer to get his first title.
- Ryo Hisatsune +11000: I’m going back to the well on Ryo Hisatsune again this week, after he was co-leader following two rounds at Pebble Beach. His last three events, Hisatsune was T-2nd at Torrey Pines, T-10th at the WM Phoenix Open, then T-8th at the AT&T Pro-Am. He’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 10/20 markets.
