Valspar Championship Picks, Predictions & Odds

  • The Valspar Championship tees off Thursday, March 19th
  • Xander Schauffele is the +1075 favorite to win outright over defending champion Viktor Hovland
  • See my 2026 Valspar Championship picks, best value bets, and the odds to win the tournament

After an absolutely thrilling final round of The Players Championship, which saw Cameron Young (+3200) outlast Matt Fitzpatrick, the PGA Tour heads down the road for the Valspar Championship. It’s held in Palm Harbor, Florida, and it boasts the famed ‘snake pit’ final three very challenging holes that can ruin rounds in a hurry.

It’s a very solid field, headlined by two-time major champ Xander Schauffele, and Players Championship runner-up Matt Fitzpatrick. Viktor Hovland returns as defending champion. I held tickets on X-Man and Ludvig Aberg at TPC Sawgrass, so a soul crushing loss will give way to moving onto Valspar to try and bag a third winner in five tournaments.

Valspar Championship Odds (2026)

Golfer Odds
Xander Schauffele +1075
Viktor Hovland +1550
Matt Fitzpatrick +1800
Justin Thomas +2200
Akshay Bhatia +2200
Jordan Spieth +2300
Jacob Bridgeman +2350
Patrick Cantlay +2350
Ben Griffin +2500
Brooks Koepka +2800
J.J. Spaun +3000
Corey Conners +3400
Nicolai Hojgaard +3400
Keegan Bradley +3600
Sahith Theegala +3700
Nick Taylor +4000
Taylor Pendrith +4200
Rasmus Hojgaard +4700
Wyndham Clark +5000
Ryo Hisatsune +5100

After shaking off a gut wrenching Sunday, where I had four players inside the top eleven to win the Players, yet none of them won outright, I’m looking directly at Jacob Bridgeman to start my card. He also cashed for me three weeks ago at the Genesis Invitational, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down, with seven straight top-20s, including the aforementioned victory, plus three other top-10s.

Odds as of 7:15 pm ET on Sunday, March 15th, at DraftKings. Check out the full list of DraftKings deposit methods.

Last Five Valspar Championship Winners

Year Winner
2025 Viktor Hovland
2024 Peter Malnati
2023 Taylor Moore
2022 Sam Burns
2021 Sam Burns

Bridgeman is battle tested from Sunday at TPC Sawgrass, where he ended up in a tie for fifth, leading in strokes gained: putting for the week. Not to be forgotten was Bridgeman’s solo third place result at this track in 2025, so he loves this venue quite a lot. To have longer odds than the top-six players on the board entering this tournament, I like the value on Bridgeman.

Valspar Championship 2026 Picks & Value Bets

  1. Ryo Hisatsune +5100: I’ve been on Ryo Hisatsune quite often this season, as he’s put up three top-10s (including a runner-up at Torrey Pines). Following a couple so-so tourneys, Hisatsune had a top-15 at the recently completed Players at TPC Sawgrass. He still presents solid value at this number, particularly because he was tied fourth at this tournament a year ago.
  2. Sudarshan Yellamaraju +8000: This number will undoubtedly be bet down by Monday and pre-event, as the Canadian will be a popular longshot wager at Innisbrook. He was +10000 two hours ago, and it’s already down to +8000. In his rookie campaign, Yellamaraju has posted three top-20s, including a brilliant T-5th in his Players Championship debut.
  3. Billy Horschel +12500: Veteran Billy Horschel is coming off a solid top-15 in his latest event, the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The last two years at the Valspar, nobody has gained more total strokes than Horschel. In 2024, he had a T-12 result, then last year, the eight-time PGA Tour winner was tied fourth. Those eight rounds he’s fifth in strokes gained: tee-to-green.
  4. Blades Brown +13000: 18-year old whiz kid Blades Brown has been turning heads with his immense talent. He shot 60 earlier this season at the American Express, and entered that final round just one stroke out of the lead. His last time teeing it up, Brown finished third at the Puerto Rico Open. Should he do the unthinkable, he’d be the second youngest PGA Tour winner ever. That’s probably a little too much to expect, however, he’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 10/20 markets.
