For Los Angeles, Luka Doncic is not expected to return during this series due to a hamstring injury, while Reaves is a game-time decision once again with an oblique issue. If Reaves sits again, supplementary wings like Kennard and Smart are guaranteed the floor time and shot volume necessary to soar over their prop lines.
Over on the Houston side, Kevin Durant is listed as questionable with an ankle injury. If Durant is limited or forced to sit entirely, it will radically shift Houston’s offensive spacing. The Rockets will rely even more heavily on Alperen Sengun in their slow halfcourt offense, pushing immense value toward the over on his point totals.

Through the first three games of this playoff series, Smart has amassed 61 total points, averaging 20.3 points per game. He has been incredibly efficient with his increased volume, shooting 52.9% from the floor and a blistering 50.0% from three-point range.

Smart’s usage rate currently sits at a healthy 24.6%, proving that he is a primary focal point of the Los Angeles attack rather than just a defensive specialist.
If there is one constant in this first-round clash, it is that the Lakers have absolutely no answer for Sengun on the interior. Sengun has been a destructive force in the paint, tallying 72 points across the first three games to average 24.0 points per contest.
He is generating incredibly high-percentage looks around the rim, racking up 19.3 points in the paint per game while operating at a massive 28.4% usage rate. The physical mismatch he presents routinely forces Los Angeles to foul, allowing him to pad his stats from the charity stripe.
With Durant dealing with an ankle injury that could limit his floor spacing and offensive aggression, I fully expect Sengun to command an even larger share of the Rockets’ half-court offense and clear 19.5 points.
